Claire Ganshert is a New York City film, television, and theatre actor born and based in Wisconsin. She has been seen on Comedy Central's Broad City, and starred in multiple independent film projects of which she wrote and produced. Ganshert's on-camera work has been presented throughout New York City, and at independent festivals nationwide.
On stage Claire is an award-winning actor, both originating and reviving the role of 'Vera' in the breakout play Among the Furies (New York Theater Festival, NY Fringe Festival). She is a founding member of the women's movement collective, LAS NYC (NY Fringe Festival), and premiered the play, 'Mrs. K' at the 6th Annual C:10 Play Festival, with The Collective NY. She has had the honor of self-producing the works of Edward Allan Baker in New York City's downtown theatre scene raising money for organization, The Changing Room 11, which is dedicated to helping survivors of abuse and violence. Ganshert trained in and became a teacher in the Meisner Technique at Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York City, and received her BA in Theatre Performance from University of Wisconsin.
Ganshert is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her Masters in social work.
